I work on the web.

This is me, as at 3rd September 2007.

I'm a web developer at the moment. I'm on the way to launching my own business - Polymorph Creative (how very OO of me :P).

There's not really much to tell, actually. I've been doing web work since November 2005, when I started out working for a company called Solutions First. For most of 2006 I concentrated on my HSC. Actually, that's a lie. Simply put, for most of 2006 I didn't work, and the schoolwork, which I wasn't doing either, was my excuse. At the end of 2006, the day after I completed my HSC, I started out working as a contract developer for a design firm. In 2007, I started Uni, only to stop after one semester. It's not that I wasn't enjoying it, but I had the feeling I was wasting my time. Since July this year, I've been working on a large project which should be launched in the next couple of weeks.

Before I started "working" on the web, I was on the web since my primary school in Darwin got connected, and subsequently we got connected at home. Blazing fast 28.8kbps intarwebs, complete with frames and animated gifs. The web didn't catch my attention back then, I was good with computers, even without the internet (my parents love regaling me with stories of when I could operate our LC II without being able to read) but I never thought I would work with it.

Now days, I practically live on the web. Between email, flickr, facebook, my 87 RSS feeds, IRC, and various other pursuits, I spend a lot of time online. I like the power the web has to connect people. I like the power the web has to collect all sorts of awesome info and statistics.
