This is me, and I work on the web.
As I write this, I'm sitting at an old school desk in the bookroom, listening to birds singing in the trees of Titirangi, west Auckland, New Zealand. Tomorrow I'll be working from a flash office in the centre of Auckland city, but whichever location I'm coming from, I get to interact with people from all over the words.
I run two companies, SimonYoungWriters, a community of freelance writers who craft messages for the web, print, sound and so on, and iJump, which helps organisations get a handle on things like blogging, podcasting, social networking - all the things we call social media.
I'm not a geek, though I assuredly have some geeky tendencies. I didn't own a computer until the year 2000, but I understood how systems worked, and always wanted to make them work better. It's so exciting to work on the web.
Looking forward to meeting you on the web!
